Private Lessons

Private Lessons (“privates”) at CheerCo are a great way for participants to improve skills by working alongside one of our skills technicians. Every athlete is different , so privates are tailored to meet the specific needs of the participant. This process allows participants to reach their goals in the safest and most efficient manner possible. We believe that “Drills get Skills”, and with this in mind, our training curriculums emphasize the proper execution of drills as a means to promote the independent and lasting acquisition of skills. “The CheerCo Way” follows a progressive learning pattern — requiring skill proficiency before progression — and for this reason we also limit spotting as a standard.

Generally, privates are offered in thirty (30) to sixty (60) minute increments, and are unique in that they can be scheduled at your convenience. Depending on the type of private, a technician may work with up to two (2) participants in a thirty (30) minute session and up to four (4) participants in a sixty (60) minute session.

Examples of private lessons offered are:

• tumbling;

• partner and/or group stunts;

• jumps;

• Stretching;

• motions and dance;

• try-out prep - for athletes preparing for school/recreational cheer tryouts. This includes motion technique, voice control, poise, etc.

In order to ensure that private lessons are productive and fun it’s important that participants have a good rapport with their technician. If you are new to CheerCo, or don’t know our staff yet, feel free to schedule a few privates with different technicians to find one with a personality and coaching style that is a good match with your athlete.

Cost starts around $35.00 per participant and can vary based on the technician you work with and the duration of the service. Payment for each private lesson is made online before the lesson begins. As a standard, we do not accept personal checks as a form of payment.

Annual admission/recording are required before a participant can take private lessons.
