Tiny Novice
Sparkle
Level 1 w/ Restrictions
Tiny Novice
Sparkle is an entry level team created for individuals — from ages three (3) to six (6) years old — that are new to all-star but ready for performance-based teams that are evaluated at events.
Additional difference between Tiny Novice and standard Novice divisions:
Building skills are not permitted;
Cartwheels and Forward Rolls are the only tumbling skills permitted.
General Information:
Athlete evaluations and Team Placements in May;
Practice Twice weekly from June through March;
Skills Camp in Mid-July (Mandatory);
Routine Choreography Late July/Early August (Mandatory);
Annual Showcase in November;
Participate in events from November through March.
No experience is required to join this team, however, all athletes must complete our evaluation process.
After the teams roster is finalized, any new team members are added as alternate performers and must attend all training and team-related activities. In an effort to ensure that our teams remain competitive within their divisions and that our athletes are confident in their ability to succeed, alternate athletes are choreographed into the routine — as regular performers — only when doing so does not interfere with a teams preparation for competition as determined by our staff of expert Team Technicians. This is typically done in November unless it is otherwise determined that circumstances warrant this type of action.
